What are the Reiki levels?

Each Reiki level has a specific meaning in the world of Reiki. To simplify we wrote a guideline below:

Level 1 – Shoden – This is the first level. At this stage the student is taught how to use Reiki for self-development and how to use Reiki on others. It is the ‘first beginnings’.
Level 2 – Okuden – The second level focuses on teaching the student to be a therapist practitioner. This is the minimum level required to practice professionally.
Level 3 – Shinpiden – This is also called ‘The Teacher level’ or ‘The Master level’. This is the level required to teach Reiki professionally. Our teacher prefers not to use the term ‘Master’, feeling that this is an honorary title and it would not be true to Reiki philosophy to use the term to refer to himself.  However most people trained to this level will refer to themselves as ‘Master’ or ’Master Practitioner’. Post graduate tutorial are also available.

A manual and a Reiki Certificate are given to the Student on completion of each level.

Each level builds upon the next. At each level the student learns how to channel more intensely the Reiki energy.

What happens during the workshops?

These workshops are both practical and theoretical. You will be taught how to use Reiki on yourself, others and to enhance your everyday life. You will also have the chance to receive it. The history of Reiki and the elements of its philosophy will be covered. You will learn how Reiki can be used to heal people, animals and plants and can be used to energise food, minerals and even places. Each student is taught how to fully integrate Reiki into their everyday life in unique and personal ways.

How do I prepare for the Attunements?

Ideally for the 21 days leading up to the course eat healthily, possibly vegetarian food so that your body is naturally free of toxins. This is optional but many students find it meaningful. For the attunements and course itself no preparation is necessary.

What happens after?

For 21 days after the attunements you will be instructed to continue with a healthy diet and to practice using Reiki daily. The Reiki Teacher offers full support and the possibility of one-to-one extra tutorials. A manual and a Reiki Certificate are given to the Student on completion of the Course.

Is it possible to do Reiki 1 and 2 together?

Our Reiki Teacher believes that a one year is beneficial before progressing onto the next level. This is for many reasons however one reason for this is so the student comes to the next level having ‘played’ with Reiki at that level and has fully experienced the energy. After a year the student is encouraged to have an informal chat to see if the student is ready to progress to the next level.

Some students may feel that they are ready to move onto the next level before a year has passed. Once again the student will have an informal discussion to see the student’s progress and to help them move forward.

This rigorous method is used to ensure the student gains the most amount of benefit from each teaching course and to allow them to feel they are having a high standard of training.
